HeavyBid 2013 Student Download

(for use with Estimating Construction Costs textbook)

If you’re using the textbook, Estimating Construction Costs by Robert L. Peurifoy and Garold D. Oberlender (ISBN: 978-0-07-339801-3) then you can use the following link to download the 2013 Student Version of HeavyBid. This is an older version of our software that was developed to correspond directly with the chapter exercises and includes pre-loaded crewing information.

Already using a newer version of HeavyBid?

If you’ve already installed a newer version of HeavyBid but would like to import the crewing information required for the textbook exercises, you can follow the steps below:

1. Download the STUDENT.zip file
2. Extract the files to C:\HeavyBid\STUDENT
3. Open HeavyBid
4. Click the button that says “Open Current Estimate”
5. Go to File > New > New Estimate from backup
6. For the Source Backup, browse to the HeavyBid\STUDENT directory and choose PROB1MST.est
7. Check the box to Display this estimate with master estimates
8. Click Next
9. Click Finish
10. Go to File > Restore > System
11. For the location of the system backup browse to the HeavyBid\STUDENT directory and choose HCSSDAT.zip
12. Click “Restore System”
13. Go to File > Restore > Estimate
14. For the location of the estimate backup browse to the HeavyBid\STUDENT directory and choose ESTMAST.est
15. Click Next
16. Click Finish
